Staying Energetic and Healthy Through Every Season of the Year
Most people are somewhat familiar with acupuncture. Understanding the importance of your body’s energy meridians and the connection between your organs and your emotions is integral to ancient medicine and can put you in charge of your own health. Nourishing these important energy/communication circuits can give you the ability to achieve strength and wellness in a way that is unique and supportive of your healthy lifestyle and any alternative or medical therapies you may be taking.
Chinese medicine is often associated with acupuncture needles. This has been the way trained physicians have restored the body’s meridians for centuries. You cannot replace the expert knowledge, therapy and diagnostic ability a skilled acupuncturist can provide. However, there is another health science, called Nutripuncture, which allows everyone to nourish his or her own vital currents (meridians) on their own during each season of the year.
This therapy is new to the US but has been practiced in France for over 20 years. Nutrients (small chewable pills, much like homeopathic medication) are used rather than acupuncture needles to unblock and nourish the vital currents.
Dr. Patrick Veret wrote, in his book “Nutripuncture”, “The information conveyed by the meridians gives the human body great possibilities of physical, behavioral and mental expression. It forms cybernetic circuits, which make the human being very complex…”
These Nutrients use trace minerals to transfer specific, electromagnetic information into the body’s cells and organs at targeted points. In this way, cellular exchanges are nourished and the body is able to regulate and balance its meridians much better with each season. This brings a person many health benefits, more strength and energy. It’s why we call Nutripuncture acupuncture without needles.
What is “good health”?
Health is much more than the absence of disease. Good health includes a person’s body and all of its functions as well as his or her emotions, behavior and ability to communicate with others. Good health results when your body exists in a state of balance through every season of the year.
A person’s life should be a healthy reflection of his or her body’s state of balance. What does your life reflect? How do you feel day in and day out? How do other people feel when they are with you? Good communication depends on good health.
We communicate with more than words; we communicate with our whole body including each organ. In fact, our body language “speaks” louder than our words. When we are not feeling well, then we are not communicating well, and our relationships, at home and at work suffer.
What does this mean? If, for example, a person restores the health of their heart, will they feel more generous and loving? Yes, quite possibly. Your heart pumps blood through your body, but it is also an important part of your communication. When your heart is healthy, you will have a better vision for life and you will more often follow your own desires. Your emotions and physiology are intricately connected. This is why medicating physical symptoms rarely restores a person’s health.
Why do we get sick?
Haven’t you ever wondered why illnesses affect some people and not others? Why do some people seem to get sick a lot during one season but not another? Have you ever wondered if your negative emotions and behaviors have anything to do with your physical health?
Traditional Chinese medicine (T.C.M.), the science behind acupuncture, is thousands of years old. It teaches how the physical and psychological aspects of a person, as well as their environment, are integrated and completely interdependent, so if one is disturbed, then all are affected. Behavioral and emotional disturbances always precede any physical illness. T.C.M. works to heal the disturbed vital currents (meridians) of the body, thus restoring energy to the body’s organs and cells and bringing more harmony and balance into a person’s life.
Chinese medicine believes that disease always originates from a disturbance in one or more of the body’s meridians. Therefore, by nourishing these meridians with either acupuncture needles or Nutripuncture, we have an incredible opportunity to help prevent and even treat health problems at a deep level.
Disturbances in our vital currents can manifest from many sources including our personal environment, such as family issues and upbringing, trauma, negative experiences and how we take care of our bodies with nutrition and exercise. Disturbances can also result from seasonal changes when we don’t adapt to them well.
Nutripuncture is an excellent tool for everyone to use at home, from infants to the elderly. Because it’s acupuncture without needles, it is easy to incorporate into any lifestyle.
With our advanced training, health professionals are able to incorporate this therapy into their practice, which allows them to support their patient’s health in a unique and effective way; therefore, giving a better out come with each patient.
Using Nutripuncture to help restore the body’s meridians, as with any therapy, requires some knowledge and understanding of practical application. Your involvement will give you the skills you need to nourish your body, your emotions and your communication with others for a lifetime.
