UNDERSTANDING THE RHYTHM OF LIFE
STOMACH/PANCREAS-SPLEEN
We are well into the inter-season that lasts for about three weeks until March 21st. Please remember to
nourish your stomach/ pancreas and focus on taking action with what you have learned during winter.
Your stomach is related to respecting yourself and others and to your courage in life. Your pancreas is
related to having the ability to follow through on an action, complete projects and to think in a concrete
manner.
If your knees have been hurting, if you feel like pushing through projects too much, or on the other hand, if
you feel lazy and unmotivated then this is the time to nourish your stomach/pancreas-spleen meridian. We
also must recognize the almost epidemic health problem of diabetes. Even children are at risk.
To nourish this time with Nutripuncture you may take Yin/Yang with Nutri #10, #18.
March 21st to June 21st
LIVER/GALLBLADDER
Liver—wisdom and understanding
Gallbladder—serenity and coherence
Even though it is the inter-season you may start feeling this powerful meridian start to “come in”. It is so
important to pay attention to how you and your family are behaving. It saves relationships to understand that
the season is also a factor in your communication with others!
How do you “feel” it? Many times with your emotions and physical energy. This is the time of year when we
can feel more resentful, quick to a temper (parents can relate to this one!), irritable, grumpy, vindictive, bitter,
impulsive, excessive in our choices concerning food or money, and feeling driven without being in the drivers
seat. In a nutshell, this season can feel very stressful when the liver/gallbladder meridian is not well
nourished.
Physically you may feel more tired, sometimes a lot more. You may feel that you can’t get enough sleep. You
may feel “upside down”, disoriented, headachy, and “fuzzy” headed. In general, if your liver is not in as good
of health as it should be then you will feel the physical effects more acutely in the spring.
Personally, I felt and observed the master of heart and triple heater meridian come in fairly quickly (this
meridian is part of spring as well). When this meridian is being pulled on (animated by the season) people
tend to come down with more colds and sicknesses and they may act depressed and indifferent.
A week ago, all three of my daughters started getting the sniffles and after I nourished the MH/TH meridian for
them they improved by at least 80% and their energy returned!
Don’t forget this important meridian if you are not feeling well, especially if you have cancer.
Remember what season it is when the driver in front of you cuts you off, when your spouse blames you for
everything, or when your children find more reasons to throw tantrums or act out! Be patient with yourself
and nourish your liver and gallbladder.
