    UNDERSTANDING THE RHYTHM OF LIFE
    THE SEASON OF SPRING
    LIVER/GALLBLADDER

We are now well into the liver/gallbladder season.  How is it going for you?  It can be one of the
most challenging seasons to experience simply because the liver animates or energizes every
    organ family—heart/small intestine, stomach/pancreas, lungs/colon, and the kidney/bladder.

In other words, if a meridian family is disturbed it will eventually have an impact on the liver and
cortex so that during spring you may not only feel the liver/gallbladder very strongly but you may
also feel any other organ family that is disturbed.

Dr. Veret writes in his book: “The two main organs of the body are the brain and the liver. The
central nervous system is a basic element that analyzes and directs the dynamics of the whole
body. The metabolic pole, and in particular the liver, supplies the fuel needed for the body’s
vitality. These two poles, cerebral and hepatic, are crossroads. Balanced or not, all the
information concerning the condition of the other organs goes through them. Thus, a
disturbance of the stomach or the pancreas can have an effect on the liver or on the cerebral
pole. Each organ, while fulfilling its own function, also participates in the general expression of
the individual and in his or her adaptation to the environment.

Needless to say our communication can be quite interesting during this time of year and we
really need to pay attention to our own behavior.  Our tendency, since the gallbladder is
animated, is to feel resentful, argumentative, and blame other people for the difficulties in our
lives and to think that everyone else is making mistakes not us.  It is amazing what “comes up”
during the spring—it is certainly a lot more than flowers!

We can learn a lot about ourselves during this period of the year if we are willing to pay attention
to how we are feeling both physically and emotionally.  I think this is partly where the “wisdom”
comes in because once we are able to look at what our bodies are telling us then we can
proceed through the rest of the year understanding what we need to work on during each
    season.

    Master of Heart-Triple heater:
    Regulators of the sympathetic-parasympathetic systems

Last month we talked about how the Master of Heart and Triple Heater play into our ability to
stay well during the spring.  This meridian involves a function of the body rather than specific
    organs:

The Master of Heart energizes the organs according to one’s polarity, which is always as a man
or a woman.  In other words, it has to do with an individual’s expression/communication as a man
    or a woman.

The Triple Heater’s function is that of a general body regulator. It gives heat and life and
    maintains neuro-sensory balance.

Together the Master of Heart and Triple Heater define the body inside and outside as well as
each of the organ envelopes.  In other words, this meridian has to do with boundaries, physically
    and emotionally.

Everyone should nourish this meridian especially those who feel, indifferent about life, passive
and dejected or who lack emotional boundaries.  Skin problems can develop with a disturbance
    in this meridian.

Next month we will discuss the very important Conception/Governor meridian.

    Nutripuncture in “Real Life”

It is very interesting to look at life events through an understanding of the body’s meridians/vital
currents.  When we mentioned the “organ envelopes” of the body we are talking about the
energetic space that holds each organ.  It is important to understand that even if the organ is
taken out, the disturbance that destroyed the organ in the first place, still exists.

Recently I received an email that was titled “Important: Every woman should read this.”  It was an
article about a woman who had her ovaries taken out and then got sick.  It took many trips to the
doctor before she was finally diagnosed with ovarian cancer. The article went on to explain what
symptoms and tests to ask for because the doctors she went to did not consider the possibility
of ovarian cancer since she had surgery.  Her ovaries were gone but the disturbance that made
them unhealthy in the first place still existed and she got sick.

Last week I watched an “Opra” show that talked about a relatively new imagining process that
shows a 3-D picture of the organs and in particular the heart.  Since the heart is always moving
it has been difficult to see it clearly but this process snaps hundreds of shots per second, which
creates a good picture.  One of the women, who got the test for the show, had some soft plaque
build up but it wasn’t a burden for her heart yet.  She said, on the show, how relieved she was
and that she was going to change her diet.  The important point to understand is that the
disturbance that led to this symptom probably existed for much of her life and changing her diet
isn’t going to restore her.  In other words, her heart issue is actually much more serious than the
    physical symptoms exhibit.

Emotional and behavioural symptoms almost always develop before the physical ones do and
understanding these symptoms, through the study of Nutripuncture, can help you maintain and
restore your health before physical symptoms appear.  Restoring the body’s energy may even
    help slow the aging process.

Another story that hit me was the sad passing of Dana Reeves, “superman’s” wife.  She died of
lung cancer and yet she did not have the typical lifestyle habits that would predispose her to this
terrible illness.  Doctors didn’t have an answer as to why she got so sick.

Remember, a disturbance in the body exists for many years before it becomes a pathology and
it is always associated with the persons behaviour and emotions.  This even includes people
who contribute greatly to society because they still move through life with a disturbance in their
body.  In other words, you can work towards your goals and aspirations in life balanced or not
balanced.  Either way you may reach your goals, but ultimately you will be a lot healthier if your
body is balanced and you use all of your five senses every day.  Your communication will be
    more powerful as well.

A more advanced look at Nutripuncture Therapy:

For those of you who understand sequences and have been working with them, I thought it may
be helpful to list the different organs and functions that can be restored with specific sequences
    during this season:

    Liver/Gallbladder
    Liver
    Gallbladder
    Conception/Governor
    Conception
    Governor
    Master of Heart/Triple Heater
    Master of Heart
    Triple Heater
    Cortex
    Sense of Touch
    Skin
    Hair
    Meninges

You can only get these sequences from a Nutripuncture practitioner. It may be beneficial to plan
on a consultation every time the season changes.

Next month we will study the conception/governor meridian and we will take a look at the
physiology of the liver and the gallbladder.  Please feel free to send your comments and
    suggestions to: CynthiaBerkich@comcast.net

I wish all of you a wise and prosperous spring, full of good health!
